I am passionate about style, but also people. With almost 20 years of fashion experience under my belt, I know how to make people feel good.

And… I have a Venus in Cancer!

Read on for the detailed and slightly sappier version of how I got here.

My style exists at the intersection of minimalism x maximalism, being a Gemini sun x Capricorn moon, and subversion x girlcore. I am really funny, and I will treat you like an old friend. I have worked in every aspect of the fashion industry, and am ready to share my skills, resources, and knowledge with you.

When I was a child, I loved the glamorous dresses my dolls wore. My fantasies of glamour were made difficult because being a fat girl meant I wore clothes that fit me, not that I wanted. I walked behind women at the grocery store with flowing skirts to grab secret handfuls of the fabric and feel it in my hands. I knew I needed to touch clothing forever.

As a teenager, I navigated complexities with clothing, still living in a plus size body. I became very aware of how clothing impacted not only how others saw me, but how I saw myself. Through thrifting, I developed my first true style, leading to the dream of making fashion my career.

I attended VCC for the Fashion Design program. I began working in local boutiques, and fashion retail. Sewing, styling, merchandising, repairing vintage pieces, personal shopping; you name it, I have done it. Of course, this path was not linear. There is an overwhelming pressure in fashion/beauty industries to participate in diet culture, to change your body, and be made to feel like the way you are is wrong. This lead me on a side quest in my life, where I transitioned to the film industry.

The film industry is tough on you. There is no tenderness or softness. The hours are long and difficult. People are operating in a mindset of immediacy. In some ways, I needed that shock. Working in the film industry made me a stronger person, and helped me build a strong sense of personal identity. I realised there was room for me in fashion and style. So, after working as a PA, I transitioned to working in wardrobe.

My world came alive to me again, because I knew fashion and styling is where I was meant to be. I have held many roles within Vancouver’s film industry, and nothing makes me feel more fulfilled than working with clothing. Whether it is costume design, buying, or working on the wardrobe truck; I am living that childhood dream of touching clothes for a living.

In 2022, I was approached for personal styling services. I hadn’t considered offering private styling, but it is something that just made sense. My client left so happy from our sessions, it deeply made an impact on me. I began working with Vancouver based clients. I feel immense gratitude for everyone that has entrusted me with styling them and overhauling their closets. I will help you to establish your personal style with that same tenderness, softness, and respect for your body that I deeply needed when I was building my sense of identity.

As you probably guessed, I work with everyone. I have taken clients ranging from size 2 - 32, ages 24 - 66, and encompassing many gender identities. Everyone deserves to have great style.
